No finite collection of colours is ever 'enough' to meet every need! The trained eye can distinguish between millions of colours. Don't worry; if you can interpolate or extrapolate from one of the Books of Color and send us the notation you need, Munsell can produce exactly this shade.

Quick Color Standards

This is a proof-free rapid match product in gloss or matt finish and is available as paint on paper or a variety of plastic resins.

Custom Color Standards

These apply when a colour is critical. We require a sample, a notation or numeric data to work from. You specify gloss level, surface texture and whether metallic, pearlescent etc. We submit proof samples for approval before manufacture.

Color Tolerance Sets

These techniques can be used to produced colour grading sets, showing a target colour surrounded by acceptable limits. The size of the limit is determined by you, as are gloss and surface finish. These sets provide an excellent visual means of judging finished products.
